Carlos Martín discusses adaptation and competition at Hajduk Split

Spanish footballer Carlos Martín has shared insights into his first months with Hajduk Split following his loan move from Atlético Madrid. In an interview, Martín noted that while it has been challenging to break into the starting lineup, he is satisfied with the team's high level of performance and consistent winning streak.

Martín highlighted that the transition to Split has been eased by similarities in climate and food between Croatia and Spain, as well as the presence of fellow Spaniards within the coaching staff and squad. Regarding his future, he confirmed that his contract includes an option to buy, the decision of which will be made at the end of the season.

He also reflected on a chaotic summer transfer window, revealing that a move to Almería fell through due to late documentation, and that interest from clubs in the English Championship, including Southampton, as well as options in Portugal, did not materialize.
