Carlos Nassar competes for fourth world weightlifting title

Bulgarian weightlifter Carlos Nassar is competing for his fourth world title at the championships in Ningbo, China. The 22-year-old athlete is participating in the up to 95 kg category.

Nassar currently holds three world titles, won in Tashkent (2021), Manama (2024), and Fjord (2025), across the 81 kg, 89 kg, and 94 kg categories. A victory in Ningbo would equal the four world titles held by Ivan Ivanov and bring him closer to Yanko Rusev, who holds five.

Key competitors in the 95 kg category include Kazakhstan's Nurgisa Adiletuli and Iran's Ali Alipour. This competition serves as significant preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
