Carlos Pinedo administration begins Essmar handover

The administration of Carlos Pinedo Cuello has begun the handover process to assume control of the Empresa de Servicios Públicos (Essmar). This follows a national government decision to lift the intervention of the Superintendencia de Servicios Públicos.

A preparatory meeting was held between district officials and the current Essmar team, led by interim agent Abraham Cure. The transition aims to return the company to district administration after nearly five years of intervention. The process will involve reviewing financial, administrative, and operational reports to ensure an assertive transition for the residents of Santa Marta.
