Carlos Rodríguez struggles at Vuelta a España

Carlos Rodríguez, the 25-year-old INEOS Grenadiers rider, is struggling to find form during the 2026 Vuelta a España. Following a difficult stage in Andorra, Rodríguez lost 22 minutes and has effectively withdrawn from the general classification race.

Rodríguez stated that his legs failed to respond during a key moment at the top of the Envalira climb. He noted that while his training appeared positive, he is unable to replicate that performance during critical race moments. He expressed a commitment to finding the underlying reason for this physical decline while remaining optimistic for the remainder of the event.
