Carlos Santana and Becky G release music video honoring Latino immigrants

Musicians Carlos Santana and Becky G have released the official music video for their duet ‘Mi Gran Amor’, a tribute to the Latino community in the United States. The video portrays the diverse roles of immigrants, including healthcare workers, postal employees, construction workers, and recent graduates, highlighting their socioeconomic and cultural contributions to the country.

The song was written by Edgar Barrera following the detention of a friend by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in McAllen, Texas. In response to rising deportations, Barrera has pledged to donate his royalties from the track to support families affected by immigration detentions, including providing legal assistance. The collaboration aims to amplify the voices of the more than 68 million Latinos living in the U.S. and promote a message of unity and humanity.
