Carlos Torres Piña leads polls for Michoacán governorship

Carlos Torres Piña has emerged as a leading figure in the political landscape of Michoacán. According to recent polling by Massive Caller regarding potential candidates for the Morena-PT-PVEM coalition for the 2027 gubernatorial elections, Torres Piña holds the highest voter preference with 32.6%.

In a follow-up question regarding whether the coalition should select a male candidate, Torres Piña’s support increases to 43.2%. He leads other figures such as Raúl Morón Orozco, who follows with 24.2% in the general preference and 36.3% in the male-specific preference.

Torres Piña’s political background includes serving as the Secretary of Government and the State Attorney General. His career is rooted in the rural teaching community of Paracho, and he has previously served two terms as a federal deputy.
