Carlos Torres Piña rallies 2,000 leaders, secures sector backing in Michoacán

Carlos Torres Piña, a candidate for the state coordination of the Defense of the Transformation and Sovereignty in Michoacán, received public endorsement from productive, commercial, professional and social sectors in Ario. In his remarks he highlighted the need to know the territory, address regional needs and maintain direct dialogue with those who generate employment and sustain the local economy. He also presented key projects promoted by President‑elect Claudia Sheinbaum, including the National Water Plan, agricultural support programs and the Plan México for industrial growth.

A week later, Torres Piña convened more than 2,000 local leaders in Morelia, showcasing a political network built over two decades of grassroots organization, party work and community outreach. The gathering underscored his territorial strength ahead of the 2027 elections, positioning him as a major organizational force within Morena in the state.
