Carlos Torres Piña tours Michoacán municipalities

Carlos Torres Piña has completed a tour of Michoacán, covering all eight regions and more than fifty municipalities. Rather than concentrating resources on major urban centers like Morelia, Uruapan, Zamora, Lázaro Cárdenas, and Zitácuaro, the tour prioritized smaller locations such as Tlazazalca, Huiramba, Angamacutiro, Churintzio, and Panindícuaro.

The campaign focused on engaging with a diverse range of social groups, including indigenous peoples, producers, women, youth, workers, transporters, artisans, and LGBTTTIQ+ collectives. This approach aimed to address the specific regional needs of different areas, such as the lacustrine communities of Pátzcuaro, the artisanal economy of Capula, and the wood and guitar production in Paracho.
