Carlos Trejo seeks Guillermo del Toro to direct Cañitas 2

Mexican paranormal investigator Carlos Trejo, known as ‘El Cazafantasmas’, has announced plans to produce a sequel to the film ‘Cañitas’. Trejo expressed his ambition to have acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro helm the project, noting that del Toro had previously expressed interest in the subject matter of his book during a past conversation.

Trejo is partnering with Pablo Velasco to develop the sequel, which is planned to be filmed in the Dominican Republic. In addition to the film project, Trejo revealed he is working on a biographical series about his career, which is expected to feature actor Alexis Ayala.
