Carlos Veras elected best federal deputy of Pernambuco

Carlos Veras (PT-PE) has been elected the best federal deputy of Pernambuco in the 19th edition of the Congresso em Foco Award. The recognition, which is determined by popular vote, was presented during a ceremony at the National Theater in Brasília.

Veras, who currently serves as the First Secretary of the Board of Directors in the Chamber of Deputies, attributed the award to a mandate focused on the working class and popular movements. His legislative work includes the creation of the Paul Singer Law, which established the National Solidarity Economy Policy, and his involvement in commissions regarding municipal funding and technological security solutions.
