Carlos Vives commemorates musical connection to his father

Singer Carlos Vives recently reflected on a poignant moment from eight years ago in Valledupar. During the inauguration of Parque de la Provincia on October 26, 2018, Vives performed the song ‘Sin ti’ alongside Vallenato King Náfer Durán Díaz.

Vives shared that the song served as a profound emotional link to his father, Luis Aurelio Vives Echeverría. Following his father's passing, the artist revisited the song as a tribute to his memory. Náfer Durán Díaz, a legendary musician from El Paso, also recalled the connection, noting the respect and appreciation Vives' father showed toward his musical craft.
