Carlos Vives releases ‘Sombra Perdida’ music video

Carlos Vives has released the official music video for ‘Sombra Perdida’, a new interpretation of a vallenato classic originally composed by Rita Fernández Padilla. The track is part of Vives’ latest album, ‘El Último Disco, Vol. 1’, which has received a Latin GRAMMY® 2026 nomination for Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album.

The collaboration serves as a musical bridge between Colombia and Spain, blending vallenato with flamenco. The production features Spanish flamenco artist Niña Pastori, accordionist Israel Romero, and guitarist Josemi Carmona.

The music video, directed by Sergio I. Rodríguez and Felipe Montoya, captures recording sessions in Seville, Spain, as well as footage from Santa Marta, Colombia, where Niña Pastori joined Vives during the city’s 500th-anniversary celebrations.
