Carlos Yulo and Chloe San Jose announce engagement

Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo and partner Chloe San Jose have announced their engagement, revealing that the proposal actually took place on December 18, 2025, in Tagaytay. The couple kept the news private for nine months before sharing the milestone via social media on September 28.

Yulo presented San Jose with two engagement rings to symbolize the two gold medals he won at the 2024 Paris Olympics. One ring features an oval-cut, aquamarine-colored center stone, while the second features a heart-shaped yellow center stone. Yulo credited San Jose for her support during his journey toward his Olympic achievements.

The announcement follows Yulo’s recent success at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, where he won gold medals in both the men’s floor exercise and vault. These victories further cement his status as a champion at the world, Olympic, and Asian Games levels.
