Carlos Yulo says he may not invite parents to future wedding

Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo has stated that he would prefer not to invite his parents to his future wedding with partner Chloe San Jose. Yulo expressed a desire to protect the intimacy of the occasion, stating that the day should belong solely to the couple to ensure it is filled with joy rather than being affected by existing family friction.

The decision follows a period of estrangement from his parents, Angelica and Mark Andrew Yulo. Previous disputes have involved allegations regarding the mismanagement of Yulo’s earnings and claims from his mother that San Jose interfered in his relationship with his family. While Yulo has indicated he has forgiven his family, he has not sought full reconciliation.

Tensions recently escalated on social media through exchanges between San Jose and Yulo’s maternal grandmother, Angelita Poquiz Frisco. San Jose suggested that private attempts at reconciliation had occurred, while the exchange involved personal remarks regarding the family's internal dynamics.
