Zambrano stated that after reviewing the footage, it is clear the club was disadvantaged. He specifically pointed to the decision made by referee Daniel Ureta and VAR official Fernando Legario. He also noted that a legitimate goal by Urruti was disallowed and argued that a potential penalty for a handball was ignored.

The defender criticized the use of technology, suggesting that making such errors while having VAR available is inexcusable. He called for the officials to provide a formal explanation for the decisions that led to a 2-1 victory for Sport Huancayo.
