Carlsberg Malaysia targets RM6.5 million for education charity campaign
Carlsberg Malaysia is relaunching its Top Ten Charity Campaign this November, setting a fundraising target of RM6.5 million to support education infrastructure and learning facilities. Since its inception in 1987, the initiative has cumulatively raised RM601.8 million, benefiting more than 700 schools and educational institutions across the country.
This year, the campaign will host five fundraising shows in the Klang Valley to support five Chinese vernacular schools. Specific targets include RM3 million for SJKC On Pong 2 in Ampang to develop an auditorium and administrative building, and RM1.5 million for SJKC Yak Chee in Puchong for a teaching complex. Other participating schools include SJKC Bukit Tangga, SJKC Chung Hua, and SJKC Ladang Regent.
Additional allocations include RM50,000 for SJKT Ladang Dovenby in Perak to advance STEM education and RM10,000 for Dong Zong’s Chinese Education Complex and Future Education Fund. Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh, who delivered the keynote address, noted the importance of evolving the model of school development through continued community and corporate collaboration.
