Carlsberg to invest $65 million in Hue brewery

Carlsberg Group has announced plans to invest approximately $65 million into its Phu Bai brewery in Hue, Vietnam, during the 2026–2031 period. The investment will focus on modernizing production, accelerating digital transformation, and implementing green energy initiatives to enhance supply chain capacity and food safety standards.

This move follows a previous $90 million expansion project completed in August 2025, which increased the facility's annual production capacity by over 50%, making it Carlsberg’s largest brewery in Asia. The group also intends to expand operations in Da Nang by modernizing logistics and operations to support sustainable growth.

Jacob Aarup-Andersen, CEO of Carlsberg Group, reaffirmed the company's long-term commitment to Vietnam, noting that the country remains a key market for the group after more than three decades of presence.
