Carlsmed Raises 2026 Revenue Outlook on Surge in Lumbar and Cervical Platform Sales

Carlsmed reported second‑quarter 2026 revenue of $18.9 million, a 57 % increase from the same quarter a year earlier, driven by higher procedure volumes for its aprevo lumbar platform and newer cervical offering. CEO Mike Cordonnier said the surgeon user base grew by more than 60 % year over year, reflecting new surgeon onboarding and greater utilization of existing customers.

The company lifted its full‑year 2026 revenue guidance to $74‑78 million, implying over 50 % growth versus 2025. CFO Leo Greenstein noted the outlook reflects strong first‑half volume growth and continued expansion of both lumbar and cervical products. A final rule from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, effective Oct. 1, 2026, adds three new DRG codes for aprevo lumbar procedures, which management expects to improve hospital reimbursement and broaden access, though it is not projected to materially affect second‑half 2026 results.
