Carlson’s School of Dance students win at national competition

Thirty students from Carlson’s School of Dance achieved multiple awards at the Summit Dance Challenge Nationals held in Niagara Falls on July 16. School owner and director Ricki-Lee Allison noted that the students' success was a result of both their dance training and significant fundraising efforts to enable travel opportunities.

Key achievements included the hip-hop group ‘Girls in Gold’ winning the national championship title in the 12 and under category. Other notable winners included the ‘Boogie Bots’ in the Duets category, the group ‘Supa Good’ taking first place in their age category, and several first-place finishes in the Teen Elite and Senior Competitive small group divisions.
