Carlton AFL interim coach Josh Fraser drives team’s winning surge

Interim coach Josh Fraser has revitalised the Carlton Football Club after taking over from Michael Voss, guiding the side to a 9‑2 record, including a 76‑point victory over reigning premiers Brisbane. The surge has lifted Carlton into a wildcard‑round position with three games remaining.

Midfielder George Hewett, who was demoted to the VFL earlier in the season, has returned to form under Fraser, earning coaches’ votes in six of the last ten matches and becoming a key centre‑ball player. Teammate Sam Walsh praised Fraser’s self‑less approach, noting his handling of personal tragedy after the death of Fraser’s father and his focus on the group rather than his own coaching prospects.
