Carlton AFL players involved in Cox Plate contender Birdman

A group of current and former Carlton Football Club players, including Patrick Cripps, Chris Judd, Marc Murphy, and Sam Docherty, are part of a horse racing syndicate. Managed by former Carlton assistant coach John Barker, the Baggers Naggers syndicate holds a share in Birdman, a leading contender for the Cox Plate.

In addition to Birdman, Cripps is involved in the Baggers Five syndicate alongside Sam Walsh, Judd, Murphy, and Barker. This group recently acquired a share in James J Braddock, an English raider currently positioned as the fourth favourite for the Melbourne Cup.
