Carlton Football Club cuts 11 players from roster

The Carlton Football Club has undergone a significant roster overhaul, removing 11 players from its 45-man list for the 2027 season. Notable departures include Adam Saad and former free agent Zac Williams.

Other players exiting the club include Ben and Lucas Camporeale, Elijah Hollands, Lachie Fogarty, Matt Willis, Lewis Young, Jordan Boyd, Flynn Young, Matt Duffy, and rookie Harry Charleson. This level of turnover is described as being comparable to teams undergoing major rebuilds.

Despite a successful season under Josh Fraser, where the team won 12 out of 15 matches, the club's management sought to address depth and talent issues. The club is also expected to delay appointing a replacement for departed list manager Nick Austin until after the upcoming drafts.
