A 31-year-old man has been arrested after handing himself into a police station in connection with the death of 21-year-old Jayda Allen Bonner. Bonner, an Indigenous woman, was found dead in an apartment on Cardigan Street in Carlton, Melbourne, early Saturday morning.

Victoria Police stated that the suspect was known to the deceased and is expected to be interviewed by the Homicide Squad. A 60-year-old man had previously been arrested following the discovery of the body but was released pending further inquiries.
