Carly Gayle named LCL Awards 2026 Trainee of the Year

Carly Gayle, an F-gas engineer at Baxi, has been named the 2026 ‘Trainee of the Year’ by LCL Awards. Gayle completed her training through Staffordshire Training Services, with her course funded by Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington’s Women in Skills Bootcamp.

Judges highlighted Gayle’s commitment to the building services sector and her tendency to support fellow trainees. Industry representatives noted her achievement as a significant example of female representation in the trades, a sector where women remain under-represented. Gayle received her award, which included a trophy and testing equipment, from LCL Awards director Mark Krull.
