Carly Pearce expresses regret over past song and concert performance
Country singer Carly Pearce has shared candid reflections on her past personal and professional experiences during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. While playing a game of “Sip or Spill,” Pearce expressed regret over releasing the song “Finish Your Sentences,” a duet with her ex-husband, Michael Ray. The track appeared on her self-titled sophomore album and was released during their marriage, which lasted eight months from October 2019 until her divorce filing in June 2020.
Additionally, Pearce admitted to a moment of unprofessionalism during her 29 Tour. She noted that she “over-served” herself during a performance at The Hamilton in Washington, D.C., on November 20, 2021, stating that she felt she “should have” canceled the show due to her level of intoxication, though she ultimately completed the performance.
