Carly Rae Jepsen announces new double album ‘Day and Night’

Canadian pop singer and Grammy nominee Carly Rae Jepsen is set to release her ninth studio album, titled ‘Day and Night’, on September 18 through Interscope Records. The project is a 24-track double album designed with two interconnected halves.

The ‘day’ side of the album features bright, unconventional pop tracks such as ‘Versailles’, ‘On Wires’, and ‘After All’. The track ‘Versailles’ was inspired by Sofia Coppola’s portrayal of Marie Antoinette, while ‘After All’ offers a more introspective look at themes of motherhood, identity, and life changes.

The ‘night’ side focuses on avant-garde and maximalist dance music, including tracks like ‘Motivation’ and ‘Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor’. Critics have noted the project's ambition, with Rolling Stone describing it as her ‘most experimental and exciting work’ to date.
