Carly Rae Jepsen releases “On Wires” single and unveils double album Day and Night
Canadian pop singer‑songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released the new single “On Wires” on June 26, 2026. The track, co‑written and produced with longtime collaborators Kyle Shearer and Nate Cyphert, serves as the lead song from her forthcoming double album Day and Night.
Day and Night is a 24‑track project slated for release on September 18, 2026 via Interscope Records. It is divided into two 12‑song halves: the “Day” side features organic, raw arrangements with live instrumentation and 70s‑inspired psychedelic pop, while the “Night” side leans into sleek, synth‑driven dance pop.
The official video for “On Wires” was filmed in Los Angeles while Jepsen was six months pregnant, showing her moving between a club stage and the street, symbolising the balance between motherhood and her career. She will debut the album with a headline performance at New York City’s All Things Go Festival on September 27, 2026, her first live show of the year.
The release follows a quieter period after her recent family milestones and adds to a catalog that includes the 2012 hit “Call Me Maybe,” the acclaimed albums EMOTION, Dedicated, The Loneliest Time and The Loveliest Time.
