Carly Rae Jepsen releases new single “After All” ahead of double album

Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen has issued the single “After All,” the latest preview from her forthcoming double album scheduled for release on 18 September. The track, written with longtime collaborators Kyle Shearer and Nate Cyphert and produced by Shearer, reflects on how motherhood reshapes identity, priorities and relationships, presenting love through a more introspective lens.

The accompanying music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, shows Jepsen moving through a softly lit room after a celebratory dinner, with visual snapshots of past festivities suggesting a continuity of life’s moments. “After All” is the first release from the album’s “day” half, which will feature organic instrumentation, while the “night” half is set to explore a more electronic, dance‑floor sound. The double album, titled “Day and Night,” will comprise 24 tracks split evenly between the two halves and will be issued by Interscope Records. The earlier single “On Wires” received positive critical attention and set the tone for the ambitious two‑part project.
