Carly Rae Jepsen shares details on wedding and naming of first child

Singer Carly Rae Jepsen and her husband, music producer Cole M. G. N., have shared details regarding their wedding and the naming of their first child.

Reflecting on their wedding at the Hotel Chelsea in New York City, Jepsen revealed the couple used a secret playlist of songs to signal moments for them to find each other and dance or share private time. Jepsen noted that the couple remained close throughout the entire evening.

Regarding their first child, born in March, the couple named their son Ilya Blue. Jepsen stated that the name was inspired by the character Ilya Rozanov from the television drama ‘Heated Rivalry’. The singer described the naming process as her ‘most important creative decision’ and noted that they sought a name with a musical quality.
