Carmate has introduced specialized solutions to improve driver visibility during heavy rain, specifically targeting vehicle cameras and side mirrors.

The C108 Xclear Camera Coating is a durable liquid coating designed for automotive camera lenses. It forms either a super-hydrophilic or super-hydrophobic film to prevent water droplets from distorting images on rearview and side cameras. This helps maintain clear video feeds during sudden downpours or nighttime driving, reducing the risk of accidents caused by obscured views.

For side mirrors, the C204 Zero Wiper Film Type offers a physical application method. This three-layer water-repellent film is applied directly to the mirror surface, similar to a smartphone screen protector. It is noted for providing more consistent clarity and longer-lasting effectiveness compared to traditional spray-on water repellents, with a functional lifespan of approximately three months.
