CarMax survey reveals Gen Alpha interest in driving
A survey commissioned by CarMax involving 1,000 teenagers aged 14 to 16 reveals that the oldest members of Gen Alpha maintain a strong interest in driving. According to the data, 80% of the surveyed teens either already possess a driver’s license or intend to obtain one as soon as they are eligible, while only 2% stated they would not seek one.
Regarding their emotional connection to driving, 75% of those planning to get a license described it as a major life milestone. While many are eager, approximately 25% of the group expressed feeling nervous about driving.
In terms of purchasing behavior, 40% of respondents expect their families to buy their first vehicle. Additionally, 86% of the teens emphasized the importance of an in-person test drive before a purchase is made.
