Carmel Christkindlmarkt celebrates German culture in Indiana

The Carmel Christkindlmarkt, an open-air holiday market in Carmel, Indiana, celebrates German culture and Christmas traditions. Established as a nonprofit in 2017, the event features over 60 huts offering foods, beverages, and gifts from Germany and other German-speaking European countries.

Visitors to the market can experience holiday music from international artists and watch demonstrations by German artisans in their Werkstatt (Workshop), which showcases traditional craftsmanship. The market also hosts various family-oriented events, including meet-and-greets with characters such as Father Christmas and North Pole elves.
