Argentina honors Malvinas War veterans through various ceremonies

Various commemorative activities and exhibitions are taking place across Argentina to honor Malvinas War veterans and preserve the memory of the 1982 conflict.

In Chaco, the provincial government held a ceremony in Colonia Aborigen to recognize indigenous veterans, marking the first time the state has fulfilled a law established 13 years ago to honor these combatants. Additionally, the Museo Municipal Malvinas Argentinas in Córdoba is launching the “Los días de Malvinas” exhibition, which uses personal letters and objects to highlight the human side of the soldiers' lives.

Educational initiatives are also underway, such as the “Voces de Malvinas” cycle at the San Luis Historical Museum and school visits in Morea, where veterans share first-hand accounts with students. In Luján, a national pilgrimage for veterans is scheduled for September 20, involving a march to the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján to strengthen community ties and national identity. Furthermore, the Cine Móvil San Mayol has launched a film cycle in Tres Arroyos featuring documentaries related to the islands' history.
