Carmen Acsinte graphic exhibition opens in Bucharest

The Biblioteca Metropolitană București (BMB) inaugurated a solo graphic exhibition by visual artist Carmen Acsinte on 3 August at the Galeria Artotecii BMB, located on Șoseaua Mihai Bravu. Curated by Liviu Nedelcu and Gheorghe Dican, the show – titled “Insula cu oameni” – runs until 4 September, Monday to Friday, with free admission. The exhibition is part of the ongoing “Simezele bibliotecii” project, launched in 2018 to bring contemporary visual art closer to the public.

The opening coincides with a week‑long programme of free cultural events organised by the Bucharest City Hall’s cultural institutions from 3 to 9 August. Highlights include group exhibition “Disclosures” at the National Museum of Romanian Literature, a landscape exhibition at Mogoșoaia Palace featuring artists from Romania, Moldova, North Macedonia and beyond, and a children’s day at the Bucharest Zoo. The schedule also offers reading clubs, workshops, and lectures across the city’s library branches.
