Carmen Electra eyes return for Baywatch reboot

Actress and model Carmen Electra has expressed interest in appearing in the upcoming reboot of the television series "Baywatch." Reflecting on her time with the original production, which she joined in 1997, Electra noted that the show's success stemmed from its unique atmosphere and the chemistry of the cast.

Electra suggested a potential storyline involving her former character, Lelani “Lani” McKenzie, reconnecting with her original love interest, Cody Madison, played by David Chokachi. Chokachi has already signed on for the new version of the series. Electra noted that while the show was often perceived as provocative due to its skimpy lifeguard outfits, she maintains it was "not porn" and was accessible for television audiences.

She also highlighted the educational aspect of the original series, mentioning that many fans—and the cast members themselves—learned practical skills like CPR through the show. While open to returning, Electra mentioned she would not wish to repeat the "really tough" intensive training she underwent when she first joined the cast.
