Carmen Peña joins Fórum Soberanista Board of Directors

Carmen Peña, representing the Asociación Proyecto Drago, has been appointed as a new member of the Board of Directors of the Fórum Soberanista. The appointment took place during the organization's Plenary in Barcelona on September 12, 2026.

Peña stated that her goal is to increase sovereignty levels for the Canary Islands, emphasizing that the archipelago will now have representation within the Forum's leadership. She noted the importance of strengthening sovereignist organizations in response to the rise of the far-right.

Founded in 2016, the Fórum Soberanista serves as a platform for coordination and debate among progressive sovereignist foundations and associations across Spain, including members from Catalonia, the Basque Country, Galicia, the Valencian Country, and the Balearic Islands.
