Carmen Pérez named PP candidate for Santa Cruz de Tenerife Mayor

Carmen Pérez has been named the People's Party (PP) candidate for Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. A former divorce lawyer with over 20 years of private sector experience, Pérez has spent the last three years in municipal politics, serving as the managing director of the Development Society.

Pérez succeeds Carlos Tarife as the party's spokesperson for the capital. She stated that her candidacy aims to provide a “breath of fresh air” for the city and expressed a desire to govern without the need for political pacts. She emphasized that her background in the private sector provides her with a practical understanding of taxation, insurance, and payroll management.
