Carmina Burana performances announced in Romania and Germany

Performances of Carl Orff’s famous vocal-symphonic work, ‘Carmina Burana’, are being highlighted in different European settings.

In Oradea, Romania, tenor Ștefan von Korch is scheduled to perform the piece on May 15, 2027, at the Casa de Cultură a Sindicatelor. As part of the ‘Musical Extravaganza’ season, the concert will feature a full orchestra, choir, and soloists. Von Korch, an Oradea native, has performed the tenor part over 40 times globally.

In Binswangen, Germany, the trio Mi. S. S. presented a version of the work at the Alten Synagoge. The performance included vibraphonist Stephan von Clarmann, accordionist Michaela Bauer, and bassist Stephan Glaubitz. The event celebrated the medieval-based composition, which was first premiered in 1937.
