Car‑motorcycle crashes injure riders in Borrazópolis and Ivaiporã, Brazil
A traffic collision on Av. Brasil in Borrazópolis injured a motorcyclist riding a Yamaha Fazer 150 when the rider's bike struck the side of a Fiat Strada that was completing a legal reverse maneuver. The rider was taken to the municipal hospital, received sutures and was released after observation. Police reported both drivers had a zero‑blood‑alcohol reading and valid licences.
On the night of May 23, a second crash occurred on Av. São Paulo in Ivaiporã. A VW Fox hit a Honda Bros carrying a motorcyclist and his partner, who were both sent to the local urgent care unit for treatment. The car driver was found to have a suspended licence but also tested 0.00 mg/L for alcohol. Witnesses said a stray ox may have entered the roadway, though police did not locate the animal.
Both incidents were investigated by the local Military Police, who filed reports and cleared the vehicles after confirming no administrative violations.
