Carín León becomes first Latino artist to perform at Sphere Las Vegas

Mexican singer Carín León has become the first Latino artist to perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas, launching a historic seven-date residency. The performances, which began on September 4, incorporate immersive visual elements representing his home state of Sonora, including imagery of the desert and Cerro de la Campana.

The residency features a diverse musical lineup, blending regional Mexican music with country and rock. Notable collaborators during the opening shows include Cody Johnson, The Warning, Jorge Medina, and Kany García. The high demand for the residency led to the addition of a seventh show on September 10, with several dates already sold out.

An open letter addressed to the singer has gone viral, praising his decision to highlight Sonoran identity and include local talent, such as backing vocalists Johana Siaruqui and Paloma Ledgard, on the global stage.
