Carín León to headline historic residency at Las Vegas Sphere

Mexican singer Carín León is set to make history as the first Latin artist to headline a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The seven-show series, scheduled for September 4–13, is expected to host approximately 140,000 spectators.

León, an award-winning exponent of Regional Mexican music with multiple Latin Grammy wins, described the upcoming production as a unique audiovisual experience. The show is being custom-designed to utilize the venue's advanced technology, including its immersive Holoplot sound system, which consists of roughly 1,600 speaker arrays.

Reflecting on the global rise of his genre, León stated that embracing Mexican identity is a major strength for contemporary artists, noting that musicians are increasingly proud of their traditional sounds rather than imitating foreign styles. The production involves a large technical team working to program the venue's massive spherical screens and specialized lighting to create a limited-edition setlist.
