Carole Delga hosts 6th Rencontres de la Gauche in Bram

The 6th edition of the Rencontres de la Gauche took place in Bram, Aude, organized by Carole Delga, the President of the Occitanie region. The event drew over 2,500 participants to discuss political alternatives and social justice.

Key discussions focused on the upcoming 2027 French presidential election, featuring prominent figures such as Raphaël Glucksmann, a Member of the European Parliament, and former minister Bernard Cazeneuve. The program included seven roundtables and three plenary sessions covering topics such as industrial sovereignty, artificial intelligence in education, drug trafficking, and the relationship between labor and capital.

In addition to political debate, the event emphasized solidarity. Carole Delga presented donations to Aude Solidarité and the departmental union of firefighters of the Pyrénées-Orientales. A portion of the ticket proceeds was also allocated to support residents of Pomas and the Pyrénées-Orientales affected by recent tornadoes and wildfires.
