Caroleene Dobson proposes election security division for Alabama

Republican nominee for Alabama Secretary of State Caroleene Dobson discussed her campaign priorities during an appearance on the “Grand Old Podcast.” Dobson, a Montgomery real estate attorney who won the Republican primary in May with 65.5% of the vote, emphasized the necessity of secure elections as a foundation for leadership and economic trust.

A central component of her platform is the creation of an election integrity and security division within the Secretary of State’s office. Drawing inspiration from a similar model used in Florida, Dobson proposed establishing a unit with investigative authority to ensure voter rolls contain only living U.S. citizens residing in Alabama. Additionally, she expressed interest in utilizing the office to foster a more business-friendly environment within the state.
