Carolina Dieckmann shares filming strain, health issues and tribute to friend Preta Gil

Actress Carolina Dieckmann said she went without sexual relations for about six weeks while shooting the remake of the telenovela A Viagem, citing the intense focus the role required. During the same production she suffered a severe urinary‑tract infection that led to a four‑day hospital stay, saying the exhaustion was both physical and emotional.

In interviews about her new film (Des)controle, she spoke publicly about her mother’s struggle with alcoholism, describing the set experience as “very strong” because it forced her to confront her mother’s past. Dieckmann also posted an emotional tribute to her late friend Preta Gil on the anniversary of Gil’s death, reflecting on how the date now feels like a day of mourning.

At the pre‑premiere of her latest movie Pequenas Criaturas, Dieckmann was moved to tears when her 18‑year‑old son José arrived unexpectedly, expressing gratitude and love for the surprise. The actress highlighted the support of her husband Tiago Worcman and the importance of family throughout these personal and professional challenges.
