Carolina Herrera celebrates 45th anniversary at New York Fashion Week
Carolina Herrera celebrated its 45th anniversary during New York Fashion Week with the presentation of its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at the Lincoln Center. Under the creative direction of Wes Gordon, who has led the house since 2018, the collection served as a tribute to the brand's heritage and its founder's New York roots.
A central theme of the show was the integration of pop art, specifically featuring Andy Warhol’s 1979 portrait of Carolina Herrera on various garments and accessories. The presentation utilized iconic brand codes such as polka dots, floral prints, white shirts, and voluminous silhouettes, reinterpreting them for a contemporary audience.
The event, which featured a set design of approximately 20,000 yellow tulips, highlighted the successful generational transition from the founder to Gordon. The brand continues to see strong performance, particularly within its prestige fragrance category, bolstered by the success of its Good Girl perfume.
