Carolina Hurricanes announce staff and goaltending changes

The Carolina Hurricanes have announced several organizational staff changes. Jorge Alves, the team’s equipment manager who has been with the club since the 2003/2004 season, has been named the emergency backup goaltender. Alves is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former professional goaltender who previously suited up for the team in 2016.

In other personnel updates, Donnie Fuller replaces Doug Bennett as Head Athletic Trainer. Bennett is leaving the organization after 16 years. Yuji Katsuta has joined the staff as an assistant athletic trainer and massage therapist. Additionally, Cam Ward has been promoted to assistant goalie development coach, while Dustin Tokarski has been hired as an amateur and professional goaltending scout.
