Carolina Hurricanes sign multiple players to depth contracts

The defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes have announced several depth signings to bolster their roster for the 2026-27 season.

Defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph has signed a one-year, $850,000 contract. Joseph, 27, previously played for the Arizona Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, and Vancouver Canucks. His signing provides defensive insurance for the Hurricanes.

Additionally, the organization has re-signed three restricted free agents: forwards Skyler Brind’Amour and Justin Robidas, and goaltender Cayden Primeau. Primeau has signed a two-year contract worth $850,000 in the first season and $975,000 in the second, through the 2027-28 season. Brind’Amour and Robidas have both signed one-year deals.
