Carolina Jaikel reports third clean PET scan in cancer battle

Carolina Jaikel has announced that her third PET scan has come back clean, marking a positive development in her ongoing fight against cancer. The Costa Rican media personality shared the news via social media, accompanied by a photograph with her husband, former footballer Bryan Ruiz.

Jaikel was diagnosed in mid-2024 with stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to her bones. This latest diagnostic imaging test, conducted in Houston, United States, showed no areas of abnormal metabolic activity, which is a favorable indicator regarding her response to treatment.

While the results are a significant milestone in her medical journey, the clinical implications and long-term evolution of the disease remain subject to evaluation by her medical team.
