Following a recent assembly regarding delegate selection for the National Teachers' Cooperative, the local municipal president, Domingo Pereira, faced significant opposition. After presenting an alternative slate that failed to gain electoral support from the assembly, calls have been made for the national party leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of local leadership structures to ensure organizational cohesion.
