Carolina Mejía, the mayor of Santo Domingo, has been ranked as the highest-rated capital mayor in Latin America according to the September 2026 CB Global Data report. Mejía achieved a 57.5% positive rating, maintaining a leadership position in the regional ranking.

Mayer Mizrachi, the mayor of Panama City, secured second place with a 53.0% positive image, marking a 4.8 percentage point increase from August. Mario Durán, the mayor of San Salvador, placed third with a 48.1% rating.

The study, conducted by the consultancy CB Global, tracks citizen perception of local governments across various Latin American capitals to monitor the evolution of municipal leadership image.
